Update
Please
Note:
If you
have already loaded ELDSoft 2006 V1.4.0 or
1.4.1, please contact customer support for
assistance upgrading to V1.5.5. It is a quick
and simple step, but we would like to ensure
that all of our customers are completely up to
date on their software and that the system is
working correctly for you. Tel: 800-898-3838.
If you are upgrading from an
earlier version of ELDSoft 2006, please continue
reading the steps below:
Clicking on the link below
will open a direct connection to the file
download site for the newest update. You will be
prompted to save the file and should chose to
save to your desktop.
This download is in a zipped
file format. You should use the built in
compression functions in windows XP to unzip the
folder before using the update.
Right click on the zipped 'Update for V1.5.5.zip' file and select "Extract All" from
the pop up menu.
Once the file is extracted to your desktop, open
the containing folder and run the 'Update for V1.5.5.zip' program.
The update program contains complete setup
instructions for installing the update.
IMPORTANT:
Once the entire update
is completed you will receive a message which
will give you the location of a report which
contains the status information of the update.
It is vital that you check this file. If you
notice any indication that the update was not
completed successfully, DON'T PANIC!! :-)
A backup of your
original data has been made and we can run a
series of diagnostic tests to ensure that your
program is installed correctly. We will also
validate your data to ensure that it is
completely integrated with your updated system.
We offer this
validation and troubleshooting as part of your
technical support agreement and guarantee that
your system is updated as quickly and smoothly
as possible.
You may also wish to save a copy of the update
to a CD to keep with your original installation
disk.

To access the latest user's
manual, download the manual by clicking the link
below, unzip the file and copy the 'ELDSoft 2006
User's Manual.chm' file into the HELP folder in
your program directory.

Minor patches have been
created to solve the following two issues:
1)
Use
History (Readings) report, run from the
Account Manager module may display some reading
dates in a backwards order. This may seem
intermittent with readings displayed in the
correct date order. For more information please
contact technical support: 800.898.3838.
Running this patch will not
effect your data in any way. The patch must be
run on each database that is currently being
used with your ELDSoft 2006 program.

Calculate bills may not complete the billing
process if the default sort field is Customer
Name. For more information please contact
technical support: 800.898.3838.
